I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt

of your despatch No.103 of the 15th March, 1933, regarding

the Police Force Ordinance 1932, and with reference to the

second paragraph of that despatch to invite reference to the sixth paragraph of the report of the Attorney General on the Police Force Amendment Ordinance No.18 of 1929 which accompanied Sir Cecil Clementi's despatch No.459 of the

31st October, 1929.

Section 12(1)(a) of the present Ordinance repeats

Section 19(1)(a) of Ordinance No.11 of 1900, as enacted by Ordinance No.18 of 1929, and the objects and reasons of the section are fully set out in the Attorney General's report

under reference.
